Happy Birthday Ian!

Tomorrow is Ian's 16th birthday. We thought we would honor him on his special day by doing our part to make him famous by sharing this incredible picture of him with all our friends and family. Happy Birthday Ian!

Small Group

We had a great night tonight at Small Group with our church family. We love you guys. You make our lives so much fun, so enjoyable, and so exciting as we pursue Christ and seek to live our lives for Him. Thanks for another opportunity to do life together! God is certainly at work.

Birthday Party for Liv

This afternoon we headed to the big town of Hudson to celebrate Natalie's cousin's birthday. She will be fifteen on Friday. We had a good time hanging with family... good food, good jokes, good conversation, etc.

Shopping at the Mall

We decided to hit the mall today so that Natalie could do a little clothes shopping (she had some money left over from her birthday). She met up with her mom and sister and tried on clothes for an hour while I enjoyed a Caramel Apple Cider at Starbucks. While I sat outside of Starbucks doing some long overdo people watching, one of my dad's friends saw me and sat down. Jim and I enjoyed a good conversation. When we were finished, Natalie found me and we decided to use our Mrs. Fields Cookies gift certificates that one of my students gave to me for Christmas. Fatty fat fatso M&M cookies! Mmmmm! While we were eating our cookies our good friends Kai and Tracey walked by (See pictures. NOTE: Natalie is trying to feed Tracey a chocolate chip cookie! She's allergic to chocolate... ahh!) As we talked with them, we decided it would be a good idea for the four of us to get together tonight to watch the movie Rent. They'll be here soon.

Another Fun Night With the Bakers

Well we had a great time tonight with Drew and Ashley, just as we expected. We began our night together with a meal at Logan's. Our waitress did a great job. Thanks Kristin. After Logan's we went to Borders to check out their new cafe. We were in for a treat as we enjoyed the sounds of the Possum Trot Orchestra! Nothing like a good banjo and some reading material on a Friday night. When we finally got thirsty and wanted a snack, we headed for the second coffee shop of the night, a place we like to call Starbucks. While there we were also entertained by a guy named David James. He played a sweet rendition of Johnny Cash's "Walk the Line" to end the night. Sarah took care of us at Starbucks making us a rocking Vanilla Latte and a refreshing Strawberry Lemonade. Thanks Sarah for the drinks and for the good conversation. What a small world huh?

That was our night with the Bakers. Never boring with you guys, always a lot to talk about. Thanks!

Getting Used to Blogging...

We tried keeping our blog updated in December, but it never worked out. Now that we have finally loaded the pictures from our digital camera onto my computer (after a year of taking pictures) we have a renewed sense of committment to keeping things current. Attached is one of the pictures we discovered on our camera. It's a picture of us in our backyard this summer. Oh how we miss the sunshine, warm weather, and green leaves on the trees!

What a week!

Well this long and full week is finally over. We both agree this has been a hectic week, especially for Natalie who had what seemed to be everything due this week at school. It's over now though and we are getting ready to hang out with our good friends, the Bakers. We'll have pictures on here this weekend to follow up our good times.
