God is Good!

I know some of you have been waiting for an update...so I wanted to let you know that we did have a miscarriage. We were sure of it Sunday night and received confirmation at our appointment with the doctor this morning.

As we mentioned before, as disappointing and heartbreaking as it is, we continue to praise God for His goodness to us and for His amazing ability to take tough times and bring good out of them. We have already witnessed Him doing this and believe His will continue to do so as well.

Thank you all for your prayers. We are encouraged and look forward to trying again, and we are praying that God will use this experience to continue developing us into the people He wants us to be. As we have talked about at church so many times lately, God is so much more interested in our transformation in this life than just our complete comfort...and so we trust that as we allow Him to do so He will through this.

Blessed be the name of the Lord.

God's Hands

As most of you know who have talked to us or read our blog over the past week, it has been an emotional roller coaster. We still do not know how all of this will shake out yet. It seems as though all signs are indicating a miscarriage, but we keep getting words of hope from various prayer warriors that seem to suggest it is not over yet. To be honest, we're not sure what to think. The few things we are certain of are: 1) God is more than capable of doing something miraculous 2) Even if He doesn't we will still praise and glorify Him.

So we'll see what happens.

As it relates to the purpose of this post, I wanted to write a brief thank you to all of you who have responded with phone calls, emails, hugs, tears, and prayers. It is so amazing and encouraging to be loved so deeply by so many. You all have proven to be the hands of God as He holds us close and brings us through this difficult situation. Thank you all so much for allowing God to use you as He has. We hope to be friends of faith, love, and hope for all of you as you have been for us.
