Sadness

After an amazing week of celebration and joy just two weeks ago, this week has been one of sadness and struggle. I preached on being merciful on Sunday at church, putting ourselves in the shoes of others and walking through tough times with them...this week we have certainly had our share of opportunities at LWC to do just that.

In addition to all the sadness that we have experienced walking through some tough times with folks in our church, Natalie and I have had a disheartening week ourselves. We found out on Tuesday that the pregnancy we have been celebrating is not progressing as it should according to a blood test done last week, and will probably end in miscarriage...devastating!

We went in for an ultrasound on Wednesday though and things looked normal. So we are still holding on to a few thin strings of hope. We recognize where things seem to be heading, but also trust that if God would choose to work, He certainly can.

It's interesting, when I first found out that Natalie was pregnant, my first prayer was that God's hand would be at work in this little child's life right from the beginning. Maybe this is an answer to that prayer...that unless God's hand is at work and He steps in and intervenes, we're done.

If so...praise God and we pray for that. If not though, we will praise Him still. Thanks to all of you for your prayers. We will keep you posted on how things develop.
